NBA and Mountain Dew Kick-Off First U.S. 3×3 Basketball Tour

The NBA and Mountain Dew announces the first ever nationwide 3×3 basketball competition tour: the Dew NBA 3X. Making stops in six NBA markets from May to October, men’s and women’s championship teams will qualify for the 2017 USA Basketball 3×3 Tournament.

The tour kicked off in Atlanta on May 21 and make stops in Miami, Dallas, Chicago and Houston before finishing off in Los Angeles on October 23 for the Dew NBA 3X National Finals.

Both the men’s and women’s winning teams from the Dew NBA 3X Finals will qualify for the 2017 USA Basketball 3×3 National Tournament. In addition, the winning teams from the Atlanta competition will qualify for the 2016 USA Basketball 3×3 Tournament in August in Colorado.

The winning Dew NBA 3X men’s team will qualify for two additional events: the 2016 FIBA 3×2 All Stars in November in Qatar and a 2017 FIBA World Tour event.
