MC LightFoot One Night I Wish You Would Tour Behind The Scenes

I Wish You Would" Concert June 25, 2016 at the MPAC in Montgomery Alabama

Stanford “MC” Lightfoot taped his live DVD taping of the “I Wish You Would” Concert at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre June 25, 2016.  Tall Boy Enterprises was given an all access pass to the show and we captured it all from start to finish.

Lightfoot shared that he is from Atlanta but Montgomery is where he got his start.  He has hosted many stages from Essence Music Festival, National Comedy Tours, to where you can catch him regularly at Wolf Creek Amphitheater where he host many of their annual summer concert series.

This Washington High graduate has definitely showed that you can come from a no name to seeing your name in bright lights.  He has brought out many of the big names in entertainment such as Frankie Beverly & Maze, Charlie Wilson, O’ Jays, Fantasia and many more.

June 25 marks the day of the death of the great late Michael Jackson, Lightfoot had a special tribute to showcase for the audience as he was a former Jackson impersonator and that’s how he got his start and has being doing it for over 25 years.  He also had comedians Sean Larkin, Rod Minger, music artists Pastor Troy, Calvin Richardson, Duece Komrades, & D’Shanty Marshall entertain the audience.  Lightfoot was extremely moved over the ones who came to support him from Atlanta to Montgomery and wanted to pay homage to Richard “Squirrel” Thomas who was the owner of Montgomery’s Rose Supper Club who gave a lot of acts and comedians their first start.

The “I Wish You Would” Concert DVD is expected to release fall of 2016.  To find out more on the DVD and Lightfoot visit him on Facebook at Stanford MC Lightfoot.
