La’Porsha Renae Talks About What She Learned From American Idol

2016 American Idol star and runner-up La’Porsha Renae took time out her schedule to attend the private reception of OWN’s new television show Queen Sugar at The Legacy Kitchen in New Orleans.  At the reception Tall Boy spoke exclusively to Renae about her American Idol experience and what she learned from it.

Renae is from McComb, Mississippi. In 2015, she auditioned for the fifteenth and final season of American Idol. On April 7, 2016, she finished as runner-up on the show, behind winner Trent Harmon. She had previously tried out for American Idol season 10 at age 16.
