Isley Brother, Ernie Isley shared a moment with Tall Boy at the Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Saturday, July 30, 2016 for a “Night of Classic Soul” All White Affair. This was the first time the Isley Brothers had visited the south side of Atlanta. The concert lineup consisted of Ruben Studdard, Chante Moore, & Freddie Jackson.
Ernie was born in Cincinnati, where his older brothers formed The Isley Brothers, first as a gospel group, then as a secular singing group. In 1960 his family moved to Englewood/Teaneck, New Jersey. He currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri. Ernie is a prolific songwriter, penning such Isley classics as “Fight the Power“, “Harvest for the World“, “Voyage to Atlantis“, “(At Your Best) You Are Love“, “Footsteps In the Dark“, “Brown Eyed Girl“, among others, and “That Lady”
