Jazz great Boney James made a stop in Atlanta to perform for jazz lovers at Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Friday, September 2, 2016 for the “Wolf Creek Jazz Series“.  The concert lineup consisted of David Benoit, Pieces of A Dream, & Gerald Albright.  James explained why he chose to play the saxophone and what he learned while playing backup to the Isley Brothers & Morris Day and the Time.

James is a Massachusetts native who spent his early years in life in Rochelle New York but moved to Los Angeles as a teenager where he connected with Morris Day after graduating college playing the keyboard.  James is a four-time Grammy Award nominee and a Soul Train Award winner (Best Jazz Album 1998).
