One of the last record stores in Atlanta still manages to draw iconic music groups and legends to their location. To the delight of their fans, the R&B music group 112 @THEOFFICIAL112 made an in-store appearance at DB Sounds ATL @DBSSOUNDATL to promote their long overdue 5th album in 12-years. Entitled “Q Mike Slim Daron” comes after 12-years but continues to showcase the talents of these four artists who have been in the business over 20-years.
It’s amazing how the power of longevity of music sand fans interacts, even when there isn’t any product on the market. For Daron @DARONFROM112, Slim @OFFICIALSLIM, Q Parker @QPARKER112, Michael Keith @MICHAELKEITHOF112, it’s about how the music has stayed the course, affecting lives in good and bad ways, preferably for the better. 112 knows they have to live to high expectations as one of Atlanta’s finest, so it’s not as if there wasn’t anything going on. They’ve been very busy, and the long-anticipated album is a tribute to their longevity.
“Q Mike Slim Daron” is about “hearing all 4 cats holding their own and doing their thing. All 4 guys are lead singers, writers, producers, so we want to be remembered as being the best.”
It was a long way since their first live gig at New York’s famous Latin Quarter night club and the work they put in when they first signed to Bad Boy Records and DefJam Records. A lot has changed in the world but not 112. It’s been uphill ever since and consistency is their secret weapon and this new album promises not to disappoint.
