Ralph Tresvant is a name you know from his debut with the R&B singing group New Edition but hasn’t been heard from in a while. That’s not to say he hasn’t been doing things. Mostly his interests have been growing his own brand as a solo artist and growing his life as a man in a often chaotic world. He shared his views and experiences from back in the day to what’s happening now.
People sometimes get it twisted when, as an artist, you’re not in plain sight. In order to grow or just live, one does at times need to be out the spotlight in order to achieve a longer lasting life. He talks about New Edition, what’s coming up professionally, being a solo artist, personal matters, being a vegan and changing his lifestyle. It’s an interesting take on someone’s longevity. Not so surprisingly, he is still on the radio with his own radio show, but this time it’s music on his own terms, how he would like to see it. It’s not necessarily a throwback but a get-back to what the quality of music was about.
